Xavier Lamar Truesdell also known as “XL” was born on Oct. 30th in Chicago, Illinois. He's a professional model, actor, music director, on-air personality, singer, songwriter, and music producer.  Truesdell was born into an artist family, with his mother having a background in dance and his father in art. At an early age, he won many young artist awards, including some from the “Art Institute of Chicago”, and first and second place design awards from the “American Institute of Architecture”.

In 2004, Truesdell moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he signed with a local talent agency and landed a feature on the first episode of the “Las Vegas” TV series. Later that year he booked his first music video feature in “One More Chance” by Michael Jackson. In 2006, Truesdell moved to Los Angeles, CA gaining instant notoriety on MTV’s “Parental Control”, “Next”, “Punk’d” and the national “Keep It Rollin’” ad campaign for Toyota Corolla. Truesdell has been in many other campaigns such as Nike, Toyota, VW, KFC, Cheez-It, Pepsi, Converse, Adidas, Lady Gaga's “Fame” fragrance, and Dave & Buster. He’s been featured in other hit TV series such as, “Nip/Tuck”, “Rizzoli & Isles”, and “NCIS: Los Angeles”. Truesdell’s list of music video features include Big Sean, Jason Derulo, The Neighbourhood, Christian Rich, Jordin Sparks, Florence + The Machine, Usher, etc. He was also featured in movies like “Star Trek: Into Darkness”, “Miss Congenitally”, and “Three Days to Vegas”.

In 2012, Truesdell wrote and co-produced his debut EP “Dance All Night”, under his alias "XL" using his first and middle name initials. The "Dance All Night" EP consisted of pop, dance, R&B music and was also produced by Grammy nominated producer Dem Jointz. In 2013, Truesdell took his talents to Iowa where he became the 1st African American music director and morning show host for Tom-FM, a Top 40 CHR station a part of Ottumwa Radio Group. He landed his first on-air celebrity interview was with Iowa native Tom Arnold, later followed by country music star Dustin Lynch.

In 2015, Truesdell moved back to California and enrolled in The Los Angeles Film school, earning a degree in music production. In early 2017, Truesdell wrote and produced "Pose" another R&B single under his alias “XL”, currently followed up with "Dance All Night - The Remix". Truesdell’s most recent appearances include HBO’s “Insecure”, a “Gibbs” hair campaign, and 1800 Tequila “Refined Lesson No. 1 – Tight” ad campaign. Truesdell is a renaissance man of many talents and enjoys creating art in different mediums to share with the world. Stay tuned for more appearances and features, including new music by “XL”.
